Eight Crazy Nights

OK, so this has nothing to do with Adam Sandler or Hanukkah. In fact, this is being written on Good Friday! However it IS eight full days (almost down to the minute) until we take possession of our trailer! I know this because “The Goddess” is constantly reminding me with a daily countdown. Secondary to this is the daily countdown to the first camping weekend which, for those of you who are counting, is 14 days. There are a number of reasons I can’t wait until we get the trailer and begin Our RV Journeys.

A Passion Rediscovered

I have recently rediscovered my passion for photography!

In the 80’s and 90’s my camera was always close by, wherever I went. This was back in the days when you took 12, 24 or 36 shots, brought your roll of film into the local photo store to have them develop and print and a few weeks later… you would have pictures to look at. Yes, they had a next day service but it cost an arm and a leg to upgrade… and I could never make do without mine!

That’s Why They Call it a Travel Trailer!

So right from the start I’ve noticed a trend (yes dear, I am observant… sometimes). Each time I tell someone “we’ve just bought a trailer”, invariably, they respond “oh, you’ll love it! My (sister, uncle, hairdressers’ nephew’s dog walker’s friend…) has one and they just love it! They’ve been at so-and-so trailer park for years now and they just love it.

OK people, not everyone who buys a trailer, buys it to park at a trailer park! Our intention, right from the start, has been to travel and see the country… thus buying a t-r-a-v-e-l trailer. Continue reading

Welcome to the Inaugural Posting of Our RV Journeys!

Even though we are still in the midst of winter in southern Ontario and the temperature is -15° Celsius (that would be 5° Fahrenheit for our American friends), we cannot help but be excited for the adventures that await us!

You see, in October of 2013, my (much) better half (who shall from this point forward be known as The Goddess of Organization or simply “The Goddess”) and I decided to throw caution to the wind (and a chunk of money at an RV dealer) and have purchased our first recreational vehicle.
